Client Account Manager Southampton

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Client Account Manager to join our busy and rapidly growing SEO and web design agency in Southampton.

We are looking for someone to become an integral part of the Management and Business Development Team. Having had previous experience in a similar role, you will have a proven record for delivering success to clients with an emphasis on retention, upselling and winning new business.

As our clients’ main point of contact, you’ll oversee their needs and actively contribute to strategising their campaigns to achieve their long-term goals. You will collaborate closely with our in-house SEO, Web Design and Content teams to deliver plans to an exceptional standard!

Please note that Targeted SEO operates a hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days a week based in our Southampton office and the remaining days working from home if you wish.

Client Account Manager

Location: Southampton, England (Hybrid)

Hours: 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday

Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 (DOE)

About The Role

As a Client Account Manager your role will include:

  • Managing client projects from start to finish
  • Driving the implementation and development of SEO, web design and content plans within our client portfolio in order to sustain and grow client performance
  • Managing our CRM system to ensure that clients are regularly kept updated
  • Identifying new opportunities with existing clients
  • Delivering customer success through effective client communications (online, email and face-to-face)
  • Knowing when our client contracts are up for renewal and how this affects the bottom line
  • Prioritising workloads based on the commercial weight of our clients
  • Managing clients’ expectations and ensuring projects are kept within scope

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience – agency setting preferred but not essential
  • Experience in SEO is desirable but not essential
  • Thorough understanding of CRM systems – experience in Hubspot & Asana is desirable
  • Ability to develop and grow strong client relationships
  • Customer-focused – understanding what is best for the customer 
  • Excellent people management and project management skills – the ability to delegate tasks, manage deadlines, oversee project resources and comfortably use project management tools such as Asana
  • Exceptional communication skills – able to confidently communicate highly complex technical concepts
  • Attention to detail and reliability
