Search Engine Optimised Web Design
If you need to get your business online quickly we can help. We specialise in developing websites which increase search engine ranking positions and create more sales and customer leads to your business.
With our web design service, your website will be 100% owned by you and you will be free to manage it yourself or even take it to another company for updates if you prefer. We develop our websites in WordPress, an award-winning content management system (CMS) so you'll have peace of mind for the future.
Custom design and development
We use well coded, premium WordPress themes as a foundation to develop your website on. All of our sites are custom designed using the latest page builder plugins. We will design a draft layout of your site for you to approve before starting work. Once the initial design is approved we will proceed with the development and keep you updated.
Internet searches from mobile devices are now more than desktop, so we develop our WordPress websites to respond to all modern browsers. More customers will be able to quickly find the information they need from your site while on the go and on any device. Google also prioritises responsive websites first, so you'll have a fighting chance at competing in the search results.
Search engine friendly
Your website will be developed for search engines and the end user, after all what's the point of having a fancy website if no-one can find it? We will optimise each page of your site and ensure that technically it's built correctly. This involves optimising page structure, title descriptions, schema markup, meta data, page speed, alt tags and more.
Content management systems
With the WordPress CMS you won't need to become a Jedi Knight in HTML coding languages! Editing your new website will be a breeze and we'll even show you how to make changes and add new content yourself. Of course, you can leave that to the experts if you prefer. WordPress will save you thousands in fees over the lifetime of your website.

Web design frequently asked questions
Will you have a consultation with me?
Yes. We need to discuss your individual requirements with you either face to face or on the telephone / skype. If you're based locally in Hampshire or Dorset we are happy to visit your place of business or meet for a relaxed coffee at a location convenient to you. We will ask you to complete our briefing document which will help us plan your site to the best of our ability.
I don't have time to supply you with content for my website, can you help?
Preferably, you'll need to supply us with the content for your website, this includes copy for each page. However, if you don't have time we offer a copywriting service and this can be included in your quote. We can also source royalty-free stock images for your website.
Do I get to feedback on the site and design?
After the initial consultation we will design a home page for you and ask for your feedback. If you are happy we will use this as a template and guide to the rest of the site. We will give you up to 3 rounds of amends where you can review the content and make any changes. After this we charge an hourly or day rate depending on the quantity of work.
Do you supply web hosting?
Yes, we offer 1 year hosting using premium WordPress server hosts. Your website will be automatically backed up should there be any problems down the line (and there won't!) but at least you will have peace of mind. Alternatively, you can arrange your own hosting, we can recommend a number of reliable companies.
How can you increase the enquiries and calls from my website?
This depends on the competition of your market and the domain authority of the other websites you are competing with. We recommend retaining our services on a rolling monthly basis so we can continuously work on your SEO strategy and help improve your search engine rankings and website traffic. Search engine optimisation isn't a 'set and forget' solution. It's a continuous process and should be part of your monthly marketing budget.

Why does it take so long for us to build websites?
You can ask any agency or developer why it takes so long; two words – content delivery. Building your own website in Wix or another free platform might seem like a good idea but what happens when you have questions like these?
- Which photos should I use?
- I found these photos on Google that are free. I can use those, right?
- What should I say on my homepage?
- I’ll create a Service page and just list my services just like my competitor. I guess I can just copy/paste, right?
- Why doesn’t my logo fit?
- Those colours in my logo don’t match the template’s colours. Hmm, hex codes?
- I just need the right meta tags on my website for Google to put me at #1, right?
- I don’t want anyone to call me so I’ll use my email address. But how do I setup my email with my new domain?
- Should I use my home address on my contact page?
- This photo my mum took of me at my sister’s wedding will look great on my About page!?
- I need new photos, I think I need a photographer but she’s not available for 3 weeks.
- I read that I should have Google Analytics. Where do I get that? They want me to create an account?
This is why you need to consult with a local web expert. We can help you choose the right photos, optimise them, add alt tags and rename the file for search engines because we know it's good for SEO. We can help choose the right keywords for each page using informed research and SEO tools.
Why should I pay for a website when I can use WIX and create my own for free?
That's a good question and one that often comes up. Read this great article which helps explain some of the key differences between using a web designer vs a free page builder.
