Last year, we grabbed a quick lunch at Subway- convenient, familiar, and close enough to get back in time for the next talk. But this year, we decided to be more intentional. Brighton is full of incredible places to eat, and if you’re already making the trip for BrightonSEO, you might as well enjoy a decent meal or two between sessions.
Whether you’re a planner by nature or travelling solo and want a bit of structure to your day, there’s a smarter way to figure out where (and when) to eat. We used a combination of Google Search, TikTok Search, and Google Maps to scope out the top food spots near the conference venue. From there, we picked a few promising options based on proximity, quality, and vibe.
Then, this is the part we highly recommend. We fed those into ChatGPT along with our BrightonSEO schedules and had it generate a custom itinerary for the day. It factored in talk timings, walking distances, and even venue opening hours.
Efficient? Yes. Overkill? Maybe. But it worked, well sort of. There are some things you can’t control, like how busy the talks are gonna be and if you’re hungry or not.
So, if you’re heading to BrightonSEO and don’t want to settle for another conference-day meal deal, here are the best places to eat in Brighton, curated, time-aware, and solo-traveller friendly.
Our top Brighton places to eat
BrightonSEO, is known for world-class talks, cutting-edge digital strategy discussions, and the chance to connect with the SEO community — but let’s be honest, one of the best things about the event is simply being in Brighton.

Cafe Coho- Instagrammable breakfast plates
Cafe Coho was our go-to for pre-conference fuel. Their breakfast menu is as good as it looks- beautifully presented, with everything from smashed avo to stacked pancakes.
We went with the Coho Turkish Eggs and the Hearty Garden Plate. Safe to say we were fueled for the rest of the day!
Perfect for planning our LinkedIn posts before heading to the Brighton Centre. Plus, their coffee kept us alert through those morning talks.

Earls- Deliciously fresh Vietnamese sandwiches
Just a short walk from the seafront, Earls offers fresh, made-to-order bánh mì with modern twists. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the bread was just the right amount of crusty, and it’s a great spot if you need something quick and delicious between sessions.
Our team favourites? The meatball bánh mì and the vegan tofu bánh mì.

Bonsai Plant Kitchen- Quality and unique small plates
After a full day of talks, Bonsai Plant Kitchen was the perfect wind-down. Fully plant-based and full of flavour, this place wowed us with its inventive small plates and relaxed vibe. It’s modern, fun, and a great example of how Brighton does dining differently.
We really recommend pre-booking before you go, as this restaurant is extremely popular.
How to use AI to plan your day at BrightonSEO
- List your must-eat spots using Google Maps, TikTok reviews, or Instagram. Save them to your notes app
- Check your BrightonSEO schedule, and save all the talks and timings into your notes app
- Use Chatgpt (or similar) to paste in your schedule and restaurant list.
- Prompt it to: “Create a two-day itinerary including these restaurants around this event schedule. Prioritise walking distance, meal duration, and avoid overlaps with session times.”
You’ll get a draft structure you can tweak as needed, and it saves the hassle of flipping between maps and talk timings on the day.
Here’s what it created for me and my colleague:
